For #throwbackthursday here is a pic of me at the ripe old age of 20!
When I say that I teach job search in order to save everyone from making the same mistakes I did – I mean it. Don’t get me wrong, I am VERY proud of being in the military. I learned more and became capable of more than I ever believed I could. It instilled so much discipline in me…There were many, many wonderful things about it – but it was definitely not a path I should have taken.
By this point in my life, I had turned down a full-ride scholarship to Marquette University and tried my hand at playing football (a disaster)…and then enrolled in the military based on an off-hand comment of my dads and because my brother was doing it at the same time…
Even in this picture I had the world by the tail…and then I hid in a paper mill for 15 years!
So when I say I’ve made EVERY mistake a job-seeker or student could make…I MEAN IT! It’s the reason I created the process called Human Search Engine. It’s the reason I work at helping as many people as possible find where they are TRULY meant to be and THRIVE…I believe it’s my legacy.
So no matter where you are at this point in your life, whether you’re 20 or (cough-cough) 50-something….it’s not too late to figure out where you belong!
